Breanna Nichelle is a Brooklyn-based photographer and visual storyteller whose work captures presence with reverence. Rooted in portraiture, her images blend the quiet honesty of documentary photography with the emotional weight of cinematic storytelling—resulting in visuals that feel intimate, timeless, and deeply human.
Formerly a Photo Editor at Essence Magazine, Breanna has a rich foundation in curating imagery that reflects and preserves culture. She has since returned to where her heart is—photographing with intention and depth—while also expanding her creative practice into cinematography, film, and unit stills, exploring the intersections of movement, memory, and legacy.
Her lens is drawn to intimacy and nuance: the electricity of a fleeting glance, the poetry of stillness, and the sacredness found in everyday beauty. Whether capturing the elegance of a red carpet moment, the quiet intensity of a studio portrait, or the breath between scenes on a film set, her mission remains the same—to create work that honors feeling, holds space for truth, and turns moments into memory.
